There are currently no COVID-19 restrictions in British Columbia. You are not required to wear a mask, though you may opt to wear one. You do not need to show proof of immunization to access events.
That said, COVID and the flu are still with us, and health professionals continue to follow certain strains circulating in other countries, specifically with our neighbours in the U.S. New measures may be needed if the current situation changes. We will follow the news and ask that you also stay informed of recent updates on the BC Centre for Disease Control website.
Vaccines
Immunization remains one of the most effective ways to protect yourself against severe illness from COVID-19 and the flu. Maintaining your vaccinations is a highly recommended, preventative course of action. Learn more, check for updates, and arrange for a vaccine if you haven’t already, at the B.C. Covid Immunization website.
Daily Health Assessment
We recommend you conduct a daily health assessment before you arrive at the event. If you are feeling unwell, please stay home and follow public health guidelines, including those for COVID-19 and the flu.
Our event planning team is prepared should anyone begin to feel a cold or flu coming on during the event. If you have symptoms, ask for a free rapid COVID-19 antigen test kit, available at the registration desk.
If you test positive for COVID-19 on site, we advise you leave the event and head home. Please follow public health guidelines. If you develop symptoms or test positive before the event, please email us to cancel your registration at events@bccampus.ca.
News about any changes to government policies relating to illness from COVID and flu will be shared here.
